The NBA Women Forum

The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) is a vital arm of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) dedicated to promoting the interests, rights, and professional advancement of women in the legal profession. Highlights of NBAWF 2024 Activities

Swearing in of 2024 - 2026 Excos and Council Members

Immediately after the inauguration, the Exco paid courtesy visits to some distinguished members of the Bar; The Immediate past President of the NBA Y. C Maikyau,SAN , Chief Emeka Obegolu SAN and O. N Atoyebi SAN

Various State Leads and Facilitators of Branches held educating and empowering programs at different time. The NBWF  Bwari Branch, NBAWF FCT Branch, NBAWF Lagos Branch, NBAWF Ebonyi Branch, NBAWF PLATEAU Branch, NBAWF Rivers Branch, NBAWF Delta Branch,  NBAWF Imo Branch,  NBAWF Lagos Chapter, NBAWF Akwa Ibom Chapter, NBAWF Awka Chapter,  NBAWF Sokoto Chapter, Kano Chapter all came out in colors to ensure the empowerment of their members

The Exco and Members of the Forum also attended the International Legislative Dialogue on Women and Constitution Amendment, organized by the House of Representatives. A One  Day Workshop for Women and Youth for Corruption prevention organized by ICPC. The Forum was also represented at certain State events.

The Forum believes in collaboration and working hand in hand with other sister organizations to empower female lawyers for success. Members of the Excos, Facilitators of various branches and members of the Forum meet with the staff of Gender Mobile Initiative to find a way to create awareness and implement the sexual harassment policy of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Appreciation Message

We are grateful to God Almighty for 2024, we are grateful to our President, the President of the NBA Mazi Afam Osigwe, our patrons and elders of the Bar and the Forum, we are grateful to our State Leads, Committee Heads and Facilitators for their hardwork and Finally we are grateful to the Members of the Forum at large.
We pray for a better 2025 and we look forward to working with everyone/organization to ensure the achievement of the Forum's objectives.
