The Officers and members of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum Imo State at the State House paid a courtesy visit to the first lady of Imo State Her Excellency Chioma Uzodinma on Tuesday, 18th July 2023.
The State Lead, Chetachi Success Udeh Esq, in her address expressed profound appreciation to Her Excellency, for her immense support of the Forum since its inception. She also used the opportunity to congratulate Her Excellency on her recent appointment as the secretary of the Renewed Hope Initiative Foundation of the first lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, and her self-less services to the good people of Imo State through her GoodHope Florish Foundation.
The State Lead on behalf of the National Chairperson of the Forum, Mrs. Chinyere Okorocha, shared the progress and achievements attained by the Forum both at the National and State levels, upcoming programs in the State, and solicited for Her Excellency’s support especially the need for creche facilities within the court premises, to assist young colleagues in skirts still at their childbearing age, mentoring sessions and welfare packages for aged female colleagues.
In her response, the first lady of Imo State pledged her continued support to the Forum and promised to throw her weight behind the Forum in actualizing the goal of having creche facilities within the court premises in the State.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of awards to Her Excellency, in appreciation of her contributions to the Forum.
